The flexible tail responds to each strip with a subtle kick and twitch, adding secondary movement behind the fly. Between strips, it settles back into its natural profile, helping create the stop-and-go motion of a fleeing shrimp.

Flex allows the tail to react independently to changes in speed and direction rather than simply following the hook. That added response gives the tyer movement without sacrificing the defined shrimp profile.

Unlike fibers or loose materials that rely entirely on the tyer to establish shape, Shrimp Tails™ provide a consistent foundation and profile while still allowing surrounding materials to add movement and texture.

They’re designed for shrimp patterns but can be incorporated into other crustacean and creative saltwater patterns wherever a defined tail profile is useful.

Shrimp Tails™ are designed to fit hook sizes #4 through 1/0.

The stem can be trimmed to adjust placement and fit, and the tail can be colored or detailed to match your pattern. Trimming or reshaping the tail itself is not recommended—the profile has been specifically designed for its movement and behavior in the water.

Shrimp Tails™ can be customized with alcohol markers, permanent markers, acrylic paint markers, and resin. Add color, barring, accents, or other details to make the tail your own while preserving the engineered shape.
